As a solo diner, I sat at the large square bar (which probably can sit about 25 in all) in the bar area. Well, thanks to the addition of Gordon Ramsay Steak (which took over for the lackluster Binion’s Steakhouse), a little piece of Vegas has finally arrived in Baltimore. MGM has upped the game completely with Vegas-like stylings (that are attracting an affluent client base) as well as the inclusion of destination restaurants like FISH and Voltaggio Brothers Steak House. And, it also has the very popular Cheesecake Factory right on its doorsteps. But, patrons can combine their day there with a stop in the adjacent outlet mall. It doesn’t have an adjoining hotel (as of this writing). The nearby Live! is very much a “locals” casino. Gordon Ramsay Steak (Baltimore Horseshoe) - A Little Piece of Vegas Has Arrived in Baltimore If the Horseshoe is ever going to shed its image as a “locals” casino (and I’m a Diamond-level “local” that does frequent this establishment), it needs to have a reason to exist beyond being filled with locals who come to try their luck there.
